The Cradler Cinema Association offers a special tribute to David Wark Griffith. GRIFFITH invented a variety of cinematographic techniques. CRADLE
OF
CINEMA"
invites
moviegoers
to come numerous
screenings
of
cult films.
Incontestably
the
"cradle
of cinema with
the
Eden,
is inextricably
linked
with
the
Lumière brothers,
inventors of the
cinematograph in 1895
and the
earliest
achievements
of
films and
their private
or
public viewing.
The first film
screening
was shown
with
"the
arrival of a
train at
La
Ciotat."
Chronic
later wrote
that the film
was

afraid
that some
spectators
came out of the
room
running,
frightened by
the
realism of the
movement
to
train
them.
C’est dans ce cinéma « EDEN », plus vieille salle du monde, que le premier film a été projeté avec "l'arrivée d'un train en gare de La Ciotat". La chronique écrira plus tard que ce film faisait si peur aux spectateurs que certains sortaient de la salle en courant, effrayés par le réalisme du mouvement du train vers eux... 9 toiles géantes exécutées pendant le festival du cinéma. Pendant la semaine festivalière et cinématographique. Une importante manifestation culturelle et arts plastiques a vu le jour à la Chapelle des Pénitents bleus. 9 peintres provençaux connus de notre région, ont choisi de travailler en public sur ces grandes toiles géantes sur le thème le cinéma. Ces grandes toiles de plus de 3 m x 4m réalisées par ces peintres de renom, seront offertes au patrimoine culturel de la ville de la Ciotat. Les peintres suivants : Guénoun - Bernadette Knecht - Nadia Collado- Laurent Chabrol - Tony Roux - Purita Manino - Gilbert Ganteaume - ont été très remarqués par le public. Quand aux spectateurs attentifs, ils auront apprécié la diversité des talents et des expressions. Les plus impulsifs ont réalisé rapidement leur tableau et les autres travaillent d'une façon plus académique en traçant des lignes principales pour suggérer le sujet de leur œuvre. Certain travaille avec des bombes de peinture pour créer des fonds qui offrent des nuances floutées propre à la rêverie. D. Breton |
