PAINTING WORKSHOP OPEN TO THE PUBLIC RUN BY BERNADETTE KNECHT VERGNOLLE

We often get the opporunity to see the works of artists and admire in galleries ans museums, but even thought we can see the finished work, we can't usually see the stages taht the creation itself went through, since artists often work alone. The creation of the work is an important moment; it is the living moment of the work ans a rich moment for those who are able to participate. This was the possibility that I wanted to give to those who attended my painting woorkshops, as well as the members of the public who were present. The participant were all at very different levels, some already familiar with painting and who had mastered a technique - they worked together on big wall panels, on open interpretations whose common denominator was their different skills:watercolor, drawing, acrylics and design. The result of this association was not without interest or originality and motivated the shyer people, those less sure of themselves, to express hemselves on these enormous blank pages and created a form of communicative emulation in the workshop. Some prefered to tackle the various still lives laid out on a central table. Each person looked for a plce in ordee to get the best angle. Some young people, who appeared to have no previous experience of painting or drawing, successfuly tried their hand at the art of reproducing a bunch of flowers. I a confident that they will subsequantly wuant to renew this experience with pencil ou paintbrush and colors. Although the workshop was in a small area, only artificially lit, the more inquisitive among tham were irresistibly attracted by the animated spirit of the group. Due to lack of room, we even das to refuse new members. So, what is the result of this mini-course ?? Both happiness ans sadness. They were sad to have to say goodbye to each other and interrupt such an enriching experience. They were happy to have a privileged moment where the contacts and the multitude of different personnalities were rich and stimulating. Here is what our participants have to say : - "no easy to take up a paintbrush, play with colors an create spontaneously in a public place, but the colors expoded onto  the canvases and the workshop was full". - "we worked well... we're really pleased that event worked so well and we'll be back next year".

PAINTING ON DEPARTURE

Ms. Knecht-Vergnolle work under the eye of a viewer interested.
Indeed, with the opening of the festival birthplace of cinema, nine painters ciotadens took place in front of white canvas immense to Chapel of the Penitents Bleus. Each to his work and his method.
In this grand and peculiar to inspiration atmosphere, they work quietly and Senerity. The artists are not those crazy tormented that we sometimes likes to imagine. Severe air, they express under our eyes what they feel through the word "cinema". Also, go see them immediately. This is an unexpected opportunity to see the birth charts that take shape throughout the week.

CREATION AND BREAK

More frequent that collectors and buyers, students and school children TOULOUSE open eyes wide to see all forms of modern and contemporary innovation. Young people tell us that contemporary art is fun, exciting and enjoyable. We must look, linger and take their time. The works of art of an infinite loneliness ; nothing is worse that critical to adress. Only the soul can grasp, keep, to be fair to them...
